Ever since I was married( now NOT) in Las Vegas back in 2001, I have loved Vegas. I know, I know…there isn’t much about living green and frugality in that statement. However…Vegas is a guilty pleasure of mine. I have slaved at my real job for a year to be able to spend four glorious days there this coming October. I have however been able to save some moolah by doing some virtual gambling on Facebook. MyVegas is a game app where you can accumulate points for comps when you go to Las Vegas!
I have been religiously playing almost everyday for a year to earn these comps. BUT…I will be able to see the dinner show at Excalibur…Tournament of Kings...FREE! and have a breakfast, lunch and dinner for one of my days in Vegas at either Luxor or Excalibur for FREE! and be able to go to see the Shark Reef attraction (for two people) at Mandalay Bay for what???? FREEEEEEEEE! I don’t know if any of you have been to Las Vegas lately but that is a savings of, by my calculations….drumroll please… of $150!!!
So do I think that spending all year to accumulate those points was worth it…heck yes!!!! The bonus of this deal is I also got a flight and hotel for $312!!! Awesome!!!! My mom is going to be my traveling companion this go around . She has been doing the same spinning and winning I have so she will be able to save on the same deals I have…how cool is that?? That means we will have more money to spend exploring Vegas. One of my plans is to go to UNLV (GO REBELS!!!!)and purchase a t shirt or two from the student bookstore. Of course gamble…I only spending $100 on that. Oh of course visit the In-N-Out Burger (if you are a Big Lebowski fan you get the meaning) located near UNLV…one and only time I get to is when I go to Vegas. And we love the Las Vegas Zoo .
We are also not going to rent a car…HUGE savings in that. Why rent a car when public transport will take you EVERYWHERE in the city? And a three day pass is only $20.
I plan on posting some pictures when I return of what all we did do and see.
